I have been a boudoir photographer for 5+ years now and believe me I have heard so many reasons why now is not the right time for a woman to do a boudoir shoot.
To be honest they all sound like things that we say to avoid something that scares or challenges us.
Here are the most popular excuses:
I need to lose weight / gain muscle / get in shape first
This is the most popular excuse I hear!
There are two types of women: those who look in the mirror, see imperfections and put their lives on hold because of that and those who accept themselves the way they are (with imperfections and all). The truth is most women wish to change something about their appearances. However, there is a big difference between setting a timeframe to work on improving yourself with the end goal in mind and depriving yourself of enjoying life and having new experiences because your body doesn’t look the way you want it to look.
I can help guide you to choose outfits to flatter your shape, and my expert posing and flattering lighting will make you slimmer (or curvier if that’s your goal!). My clients range from sizes XS to 6X and they all look amazing!!
I'm not photogenic
We work with real women like you, and many of my clients felt this way before stepping in front of my camera, but they don't feel like that now! I think it’s because they’re not professional models and don’t really know what to do during the photoshoot. And that’s totally fine because it is my job to take beautiful pictures so I coach and guide all women throughtout the session - posing, facial expressions, hand placement, hair flips and more! Posing and lighting women to create super flattering images is my superpower.
Trust me, my camera loves you and you will love your photos!
I don't have anybody to give my photos to
It is true that boudoir photos make a great gift and the best person to give this gift to is YOU! BOUDOIR is so much more than an album with pretty pictures. It’s an experience! You’ll get to connect with your own beauty, see your beautiful self in a new light, play dress up, celebrate yourself, get on a journey to self-acceptance and self-love and so much more! Your beautiful images will be a permanent reminder of how amazing you are and will give you a boost every time you look at them.
I don't know how to look sexy
The good news the entire La Perla team is on your side. You don’t need to practice anything and we do not expect you to know how to pose! We have years of experience in styling, posing, lighting! We’ll be cheering on you and making sure you look sexy, sensual, stunning!
I don't have any sexy lingerie
Here is my advice:
Shop your wardrobe first: you probably already have some things in your closet that you can use (think a white or black bra, an oversized cardigan, a man's white shirt, a cute beach coverup).
Let us style you: we have 550+ item Client Closet with lingerie in sizes XS-6X, shoes in sizes 5.5-11, jewelry, designer robes, angel wings and even mermaid tails!
I don’t think I’ll look as good as other women
Many women worry about their bodies (too curvy or not curvy enough), flabby stomachs, cellulite, uneven skintone, c-section scars, stretchmarks, pimples, fine lines, dark circles, sun spots.. 99% of my clients have at least one of these concerns and I have a great answer for them: you WILL look gorgeous in your photos!!
We will pamper you with hair and makeup, demonstrate poses, adjust your outfits, fluff your hair and even do some stretching and breathing with you! We will also make sure that your skin looks amazing in your final images.
We’ve been doing it for years so all you need to do is arrive to the studio and enjoy your day, you’re in good hands ☺️
I’ll need a Payment Plan
We offer flexible Payment Plans. Most women choose to book several weeks (and months) in advance to opt in into our Payment Plans. They’re convenient, stress-free and work with most budgets!
