Who is the most important woman in your life?
For many of us it’s our mom, grandmother or another woman who has influenced us in a big way, helped us grow and mature.
For me, it’s my mom.
Ever since I decided to specialize in boudoir photography I’ve been wanting to gift a session to my mom. So many things have prevented us from doing it: living on different continents, all the political and global events, going through the pandemic, etc.).
Finally, when we were getting ready for a family trip to Cappadocia, Turkey, I booked a suite in an amazing cave hotel with huge windows overlooking the fairy chimneys, large tub and traditional turkish carpet and decor, perfect for a beautiful meaningful photosession. I told my mom to bring a solid colored swimsuit and trust me with the process, and she did!
With 6+ years of experience of working women, guiding them through the process and posing, we shared a beautiful afternoon - she let me photograph her and allowed herself embrace her vulnerable side. We laughed, had a cup of turkish tea and had the best time!
When she saw her gallery for the first time her initial reaction was “I never thought I’d look so good at my age!”, and I can’t agree more.
