Beauties on the Beach: self-love challenge

These beautiful courageous women have revealed their insecurities during at La Perla Boudoir Beach Gathering.

None of them knew anything about the Art Project we were going to do, they just showed up to meet and greet other likeminded ladies (some of them stepped outside their comfort zone) and ended up going through this very vulnerable experience of opening up in front of each other.

They poured out their negative self-talk - everything that was hidden on the inside has resurfaced..

With each passing minute more and more words popped up. They wrote and released those labels, self-created and given by others, on their bodies.

Then one by one I photographed them asking what was the hardest insecurity or label to write down and admit. And each of them was given a chance to turn those turn those negative things into something beautiful - with markers and a change of perspective.

After that all of the insecurities were washed away in the blue waters of the Gulf. It was almost like a ritual, beautiful, purifying and refreshing!
